SHERIDAN, WY (March 10, 2026) – One of Sheridan’s most beloved traditions is back and better than ever. The annual Sheridan WYO Rodeo Parade will take over downtown Sheridan on Friday, July 10, 2026, at 10:00 AM, with this year’s spirited theme: "Star Spangled WYO", to commemorate this year’s semi quincentennial celebration.
The Sheridan WYO Rodeo has expanded its scholarship program for 2026. In the past, the WYO awarded three, $1,000 scholarships. This year and moving forward, the WYO will award five, $3,000 scholarships annually. Applicants must graduate from a high school in Sheridan County the year they apply and have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.00.
The Sheridan WYO Rodeo will be a stop on the 2026 Playoff Series presented by Pendleton Whisky in the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. The year-long schedule features the 60 highest paying rodeos in the sport. The Playoff Series will culminate with the Cinch Playoffs in Puyallup, WA, followed by the Cinch Playoffs Governor’s Cup in Sioux Falls, SD presented by Texas Precious Metal.
