Want a hands on rodeo experience? Come join us for an hour behind-the-chutes WYO Rodeo Stock Stars Tour. Led by Wade Sankey, with Sankey Pro Rodeo, and Matt Sharping, with Phenom Genetics, arguably America’s top stock contractors in the Rodeo business.
This is a very special opportunity to get up close and personal with our star animal athletes. You’ll meet top NFR and PRCA bucking horses and rodeo bulls while learning all about how they’re cared for on the ranch, on the road and at top rodeos across the U.S. The tour lasts a little over an hour and is followed by a complimentary casual lunch behind the chutes, where contestants are preparing for the evening’s rodeo. Must be 16 and older and have a purchased ticket to participate.
Details
Meet at the Sheridan County Fairgrounds box office on the west side of the grandstands no later than 8:30 a.m. on your chosen tour date. We’ll begin with breakfast under the contestant tent, behind the grandstand. While there, WYO Rodeo Emeritus Board members will share history and answer questions about anything and everything related to the Sheridan WYO Rodeo. Following this, Wade Sankey and Matt Sharping will take you on an exclusive Stock Stars tour. NOTE: It involves walking through the backside of the arena, which is predominately soft dirt. We highly recommend wearing boots and jeans. Close-toe shoes are mandatory.
